Tiger Lily
June 23, 1994 - May 2, 2000

Lily was luckier than many dogs. She had her family and friends, of course, but she also enjoyed the virtual friendship of hundreds of Boxer lovers around the world, members of the Internet's Boxer Mailing List. She was real to her virtual friends and they generously showed their love for her when she died...

And a year after her death the memorial shown above was recognized in the ABC 2001 catalog:

...and they gave me a token of their kindness too.

Here's one more gift. This is from Jenny Oler who organized Lily's memorial tribute. Her Boxers, Grace and Willy, are shown in this photo of Lily's stone. Grace and Lily were best friends.

Remembering Lily -- Last things first...

This is the last picture taken of Lily. She's shown with Toby (left) just three days before her death.

Lily's brief life was a happy one. Here's how it began.

Have you taken note of the wide variety of expressions on Lily's face? If you're beginning to think she must have had a complex personality, you're on the right track. Tiger Lil was a joy to know and live with. She was always ready to play and display her athleticism, and she had an unmatchably mischievous imagination.

Good Night, Sweet Lily

Long may thy worthiness thy name advance
Amongst the virtuous and deserving most,
Who herein hast forever happy prov'd:
In life thou liv'dst, in death thou died'st belov'd.
